ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose hit .325 as a team on Friday night en route to a 3-1 (25-18, 27-29, 25-22, 25-19) victory over visiting Bridgeport in a non-league match held at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
 
The Golden Knights looked in control throughout the match and led by as many as nine in the opening set as senior middle blocker
 Jennifer Gundrum finished the frame with five kills on six attacks.
 
In game two, Saint Rose trailed 20-14 and rallied to tie the game at 24-24 before the Purple Knights scratched out the 29-27 victory to lock the match at 1-1. In the third game, Bridgeport made a 9-1 run after trailing 14-8 to take a 17-15 lead. However, the Golden Knights closed the set on a 10-5 pace to yield a 2-1 advantage.
 
The teams went shot-for-shot in the final frame before the Golden Knights captured the win by engineering a 7-2 run to end the set.
 
Gundrum finished with three blocks and a career-high 14 kills behind a .542 attack percentage, while senior outside hitter 
Maryellen Devic registered 11 digs and hit .406 with a match-best 16 kills.
 
Sophomore middle hitter 
Shayna Webber totaled nine kills and a match-high six blocks. Senior outside hitter 
Rachel Salasky collected eight kills, seven digs and a service ace.
 
Senior setter 
Erica Ziskin and sophomore setter 
Sam Kubik directed the offense with 26 and 20 assists, respectively.
 
For the Purple Knights, junior middle blocker Sheri Middleton swung .500 on 18 attempts with a team-high 12 kills and two blocks.

Northeast-10 Conference matchup at 3:00 pm.
