ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose hit .340 and piled up 14 service aces en route to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-20, 25-21) victory over visiting Concordia on Saturday afternoon inside Nolan Gymnasium.

The Golden Knights took control of the opening set by jumping out to an 11-2 lead and finishing with six aces in the frame.

Neither team held a lead of more than three in the second set until senior outside hitter
Maryellen Devic made it 19-15 after capitalizing on a dish by junior middle hitter
Maddy Halverson. Â Saint Rose then traded points the rest of the way to take a 2-0 advantage.

The Golden Knights closed the final frame on a 6-2 run after the Clippers knotted things up at 19-19.

Devic collected a game-high 10 kills and four aces while swinging .364. Senior outside hitter
Rachel Salasky hit .412 with eight kills on 17 attempts and just one error. She also added three aces and two blocks.

Samantha Atchinson tallied three aces and a team-best 15 digs.
Junior outside hitter Michelle Klimas finished with a team-high eight kills and four blocks for the Clippers.

The Golden Knights head to Waterbury, Conn. on Tuesday, September 6 to take on Post at 7 p.m. The team will then play four matches at Daemen before returning to Western Avenue on Friday, September 16 at 7 p.m. to host Millersville.
