AMHERST, NY-The College of Saint Rose dropped a pair of five set matches on Sunday to Lake Erie (9-25, 27-25, 26-24, 12-25, 5-15) and Roberts Wesleyan (19-25, 18-25, 25-16, 26-24, 14-16) to round out the weekend tournament at Daemen.

In the first match against Lake Erie, the Golden Knights (2-4) ran out of gas after winning very tightly contested second and third sets. Senior outside hitter
Maryellen Devic collected a season best and match-high 20 kills and 20 digs.

Sam Kubik and senior setter
Erica Ziskin totaled 22 and 20 assists, respectively.

Against Roberts Wesleyan, Saint Rose rallied to win the third and fourth sets after falling behind 2-0. However, the Redhawks responded by edging the Golden Knights, 16-14, in the final frame.

Devic finished with 16 kills, nine digs and three blocks. Senior middle blocker
 Jennifer Gundrum collected 13 kills and three blocks, while senior outside hitter
Rachel Salasky added 13 kills and five digs. Senior defensive specialist
Samantha Atchinson totaled a match-best 23 digs and added two service aces.

Looking forward, the Golden Knights will host non-conference foe Millersville on Friday, September 16 at 7:00 pm inside Nolan Gymnasium.
