ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose rallied from an eight point second half deficit to upend
Northeast-10 Conference and
Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne 79-66 tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The two teams shot a combined 34-for-34 from the foul line to break a 33-year-old NCAA Division II record for combined free throw percentage.

Sophomore guard
Mical-Ryan Boyd led four double-digit scorers with a career-high 23 points. He also pulled down eight rebounds, handed three assists and came up with a pair of steals. Junior forward
Tyler Sayre finished with 20 points while junior guard
Damon Coleman and freshman guard
Shane Herrity added 11 apiece.

The Golden Knights (10-11/8-7 NE-10) trailed by eight, 46-38, with 16:53 left in the second half and then ran off 16 unanswered points four minutes later that transformed a three point, 52-49, deficit into a 13 point, 65-52, advantage with 4:29 to go. Boyd knocked down a jumper to ignite the run and then sophomore forward
Jack Jones converted a pair from the foul line to cap it.

The Dolphins (6-14/4-11 NE-10) managed to get back to within six on three ensuing occasions, but Saint Rose canned eight free throws throughout the final minute to seal its third win in the last four games.

For Le Moyne, senior guard Qwadere Lovell recorded team-highs of 14 points and five assists.

At halftime of tonight's game, nearly 150 Saint Rose student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements throughout the past year. Furthermore, some 50 student-athletes were honored at halftime of the women's game in recognition of their outstanding athletic achievement.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back home Saturday for its annual Coaches vs. Cancer and PinkZone celebration. The Golden Knights will take on New Haven in the second half of an NE-10 doubleheader. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Dolphins will head to Springfield to take on conference foe American International.
