ALBANY-New Haven outscored The College of Saint Rose 20-9 in the second period to rally from a five point deficit en route to today's 68-57
Northeast-10 Conference victory at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The Chargers (1-3/1-1 NE-10) hauled in 16 offensive rebounds that led to 14, second chance points.

Senior forward
Staci Barrett finished with 12 points and nine rebounds and sophomore forward
Karissa Birthwright also scored a dozen for Saint Rose. Senior guard
Taylor Nazon filled up the box score with 10 points, six rebounds, six steals and seven steals. Junior guard
Britani Stowe had 10 points as well.

Sophomore center Katia Oge ignited a 13-4 New Haven run with 7:55 to go in the second that turned a 23-21 deficit into a 34-27 advantage with 1:50 remaining. Oge converted inside and then senior guard Sade King drained a 3-pointer, before senior forward India Dotson converted a layup to cap it.

The Golden Knights (1-3/0-2 NE-10) kept plugging away and were within four at the end of the third after Naylor closed the period with a jumper.

However, the Chargers opened the fourth with a 13-7 jaunt that put them in control, 60-50, with 4:33 remaining.

Sophomore guards Allieyah Cubbage and Alexandria Kerr tossed in 19 and 15 points respectively, and each hauled in seven caroms to propel New Haven.

Looking ahead, both teams are back in action with 5:30 pm games Tuesday. Saint Rose travels to Pleasantville to take on Pace University, while New Haven hosts Adelphi.
