GOLDEN KNIGHTS RUN WIN STREAK TO FOUR MATCHES

WEST HAVEN, CT–The College of Saint Rose ran its win streak to four matches behind tonight's 5-1 triumph at Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven. The Golden Knights (11-5-0/8-5-0 NE-10) scored four times in the second half and engineered a dominating 29-4 shot advantage, including a 15-3 differential in attempts on target.

Freshman forward Nina Predanic scored twice and set up another to propel a balanced Saint Rose attack that featured six players in the scoring column. Freshmen midfielders Eva Frazzoni and Karmyn Carter, and senior midfielder Sammy Blizzard also found the back of the net.

Sophomore midfielder Sophia Constantine and freshman back Nia Brown each picked up an assist, while sophomore keeper Madison Taylor recorded a save in each half en route to her seventh win this season.

Saint Rose broke through first with 31:30 gone by when Frazzoni finished a Constantine feed. The Chargers (5-11-1/2-10-1 NE-10) then leveled seven minutes later when sophomore forward Sarah Bosco scored from outside the area to leave the contest tied 1-1 at intermission.

However, the Golden Knights left little doubt about the eventual outcome as Predanic and Blizzard scored five minutes apart in the opening 17 minutes of the second period. Predanic eventually made it 4-1 at the 69:36 juncture, before Carter closed out the scoring with 83:18 gone by.

Looking ahead, both teams will cap their 2016 regular-season slates Saturday. Saint Rose hosts Merrimack at 2:00 pm, while New Haven travels to Manchester, NH to face Saint Anselm at 1:00 pm.
