GOLDEN KNIGHTS RECORD SECOND STRAIGHT SHUTOUT

MANCHESTER, NH-The College of Saint Rose recorded its second straight shutout and chalked up its fourth win in its last five matches behind today's 3-0 triumph at Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm.

Senior back Elisa Galbiati twice converted passes from freshman forward Nina Predanic while freshman midfielder Eva Frazzoni provided the game-winner in the opening 18 minutes.

The Golden Knights (9-5-0/6-5-0 NE-10) controlled the pace of play throughout the afternoon. They developed eight corner kicks, while yielding five, and outshot the Hawks (5-9-1/3-7-1 NE-10) 18-12, including 11-6 throughout the opening 45 minutes.

Sophomore keeper Madison Taylor recorded three of her four saves in the first half en route to her third clean sheet of the autumn. At the other end, senior Cassie Quattropani turned away five threats-on-target for Saint Anselm.

"Our defense played great and Maddy made some superb saves. We created a number of scoring chances in the run of play. Nina provided great services and Eli finished two super goals. Our midfield battled for 90. It was an overall great team win against a good opponent", said head coach Laurie Darling Gutheil.

Freshman midfielder Karmyn Carter helped get Saint Rose going by delivering a cross that Frazzoni deflected into an empty net.

Predanic then lofted a corner that Galbiati headed home with 25:56 gone by to make it 2-0 at intermission. The duo then connected again on a restart when Predanic delivered pass that Galbiati volleyed into the goal for her team-leading seventh strike.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back home Saturday to host Southern Connecticut State for Faculty Appreciation Day. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm. Meanwhile, Saint Anselm travels to North Andover, MA Friday for a 7:00 pm meeting at Merrimack.
Notes: The Golden Knights are now 6-2 on the road…They have outscored their last five opponents by a 10-4 margin, including a 6-1 differential in the first half.
