ALBANY–An 83rd minute goal from sophomore back
Sophia Constantine secured a 1-0 victory over visiting Bentley in a
Northeast-10 Conference match on Saturday afternoon as The College of Saint Rose celebrated Senior Day at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
Â
The lone tally was scored after Constantine was able to come up with a loose ball that had caromed off several players before finding her foot and ultimately the back of the right side of the net.
Â
Saint Rose (8-5-0/5-5-0 NE-10) held an advantage in shots (18-9) and corner kicks (7-4).
Â
Freshman midfielder
Nina Predanic tallied a team-high three shots on goal, while sophomore goalkeeper
Madison Taylor made five saves.
For the Falcons (7-4-2/4-4-2), junior keeper Deirdre Macrorie turned away nine shots on goal.
Â
Before the game, seniors Sammy Blizzard, Megan Reese, Elisa Galbiati, Jaime Durant and junior Totianyu Guadalupe were honored for their contributions to the program.
Â
Looking ahead, both sides return to action with 3:30 pm dates Tuesday. The Golden Knights travel to Manchester, NH to take on Saint Anselm, while the Falcons host Le Moyne.
