LATE STRIKE BOOSTS SAINT ROSE PAST BENTLEY

ALBANY–An 83rd minute goal from sophomore back Sophia Constantine secured a 1-0 victory over visiting Bentley in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Saturday afternoon as The College of Saint Rose celebrated Senior Day at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.

The lone tally was scored after Constantine was able to come up with a loose ball that had caromed off several players before finding her foot and ultimately the back of the right side of the net.

Saint Rose (8-5-0/5-5-0 NE-10) held an advantage in shots (18-9) and corner kicks (7-4).

Freshman midfielder Nina Predanic tallied a team-high three shots on goal, while sophomore goalkeeper Madison Taylor made five saves.

For the Falcons (7-4-2/4-4-2), junior keeper Deirdre Macrorie turned away nine shots on goal.

Before the game, seniors Sammy Blizzard, Megan Reese, Elisa Galbiati, Jaime Durant and junior Totianyu Guadalupe were honored for their contributions to the program.

Looking ahead, both sides return to action with 3:30 pm dates Tuesday. The Golden Knights travel to Manchester, NH to take on Saint Anselm, while the Falcons host Le Moyne.
