NEW HAVEN, CT-The College of Saint Rose scored the equalizer two minutes after host Southern Connecticut State took the lead to force a 1-1 draw with the Owls in
Northeast-10 Conference action today. In the process, the Golden Knights ran their unbeaten stretch to four matches.

Southern Connecticut State (6-4-2/4-3-2 NE-10) took its brief 1-0 lead after junior back Sean Black headed home a delivery from senior midfielder Christian Samaniego.

Christian Esposito made five of his six after halftime to keep the Golden Knights (5-6-1/3-5-1 NE-10) within striking distance as Southern Connecticut generated a 14-3 shot advantage. At the other end, Noah Varonier made a stop in each half for the Owls.

Looking ahead, both squads are on the road for7:00 pm conference dates Wednesday. Saint Rose heads to Springfield to take on American International, while Southern Connecticut State travels to Long Island to meet Adelphi.
