WORCHESTER, Mass. – The College of Saint Rose women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Assumption College Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action.

With the loss, Saint Rose fell to 3-7 on the season, and 1-5 in the NE-10, while the Greyhounds improved to 6-1 overall, and 5-0 in the league.

Assumption claimed all nine positions, starting in the doubles competition. Sophomore Averie Bowen and senior Isabella Cubillos nabbed the only sets for the Golden Knights as they fell 8-2 at No. 1. The duo of senior Paige Southwick and sophomore Alanna Bergmann, and senior Maria Malafronte and sophomore KeriAnn Mahoney were both shut out at second and third, respectively.

Bowen dropped to sophomore Cassie Burbine 6-4, 6-3 at No.1 singles, and Mahoney battled at fourth singles with junior Kristen Carbone, taking the set into the tiebreaker, but eventually falling 3-6, 6-3, 10-6.

Saint Rose returns to the Capital Region on Monday to host non-conference foe Post University at 4:30 pm at the UAlbany Tennis Courts. The Golden Knights hit the road again on Tuesday to face league rival New Haven at 3:30 pm.
