WEST HAVEN, Conn. ā Senior
Alexis Williams' two-run homer in game two of Saturday's double header sparked a split on the day for The College of Saint Rose softball team, allowing the Golden Knights to claim a 5-0 win over
Northeast-10 Conference foe New Haven, after falling to the Chargers 4-2 earlier in the day at the UNH Softball Field.

Combined with Friday's loss, the Golden Knights have been put out of contention for the NE-10 postseason, and end their 2015 campaign at 14-21 overall and 7-12 in the conference. UNH moves to 16-16-2, and 11-9.

Williams broke open scoring in game two with her second home run of the season in the second. Fellow senior
Anna Carey aided in the 2-0 inning when she reached on a single down the left field line earlier in the inning.

Saint Rose tacked on two more in the third as Carey drove in two runners on a RBI single.

In the fifth, junior
Meghan Reynolds led off with a walk, stole second and moved to third as Williams reached on an error. Reynolds had the chance to score, but was thrown out at home on a fielder's choice to junior Nicole King in the circle, from senior
Marisa Bird. Williams advanced to third on the play, and was granted home as King threw an illegal pitch.

Ashlee Frazier finished her senior season at 4-4 after a complete game on the rubber, allowing just three hits and fanning two batters.

In game two, the Chargers capitalized on a throwing error from second baseman
Taylor Solomon to aid in a two-run inning in the second. UNH nabbed single runs in the fifth and sixth as sophomore Julie Devlin and senior Erika Williams registered RBI, respectively.

Junior
Zoe DuBois put the Golden Knights on the board in the second as she led off the inning with a homer.

Danielle Brusca recorded Saint Rose's final run of the game in the third. She reached on an error from Williams in left and advanced to second. Junior
Taylor Snyder stepped to the plate later in the inning and ripped a RBI double, sending Brusca home.

After giving up nine hits and four runs, sophomore
Renee Vaiano (8-6) suffered the loss in the circle.

Carey led from the plate on the day with a 3-for-6 effort and two RBI, followed by DuBois at 3-for-7. Brusca and Snyder nabbed two hits apiece.
