GOLDEN KNIGHTS SHOOT PAST GEORGIAN COURT

SYRACUSE-The College of Saint Rose shot 57.6 percent (38-for-66) from the floor on the way to a 90-43 victory versus Georgian Court during the final day of competition at the Conference Challenge on the campus of Le Moyne College.
 
The Golden Knights (1-1) closed the first period on a 15-2 run that transformed a 14-10 game into a 29-12 affair. Saint Rose subsequently led by no fewer than 30 points throughout the game's final 17 minutes.
 
Twelve players figured in the scoring column for the Golden Knights including senior guards Keyontae Williams and Taylor Nazon who scored 17 and 15 respectively. Also, freshman forward Ashley Vanderwall tossed in 12 points throughout 16 minutes of reserve duty.
 
Senior guard Alliyah Berger had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Lions (0-2).
 
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights play their Northeast-10 Conference opener Wednesday with a 5:30 pm encounter versus American International. The men's half of the doubleheader will follow at 7:30 pm. Both contests are scheduled to be streamed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv.
