ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker Wednesday to Northeast-10 Conference rival Adelphi at the UAlbany Tennis Courts.
The Golden Knights fell to 3-11 overall, 1-7 in the NE-10, while the Panthers remained unscathed at 11-0, 10-0.

KeriAnn Mahoney secured the lone doubles point for Saint Rose with an 8-0 blanking at second.
In singles, Malafronte continued her route, claiming the No. 6 position 6-3, 6-1. Sophomore transfer
Averie Bowen nabbed first 6-4, 6-3, followed by senior
Isabella Cubillos at second with a 6-2, 2-1 victory. Mahoney fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, and sophomore
Alanna Bergmann registered a 6-1, 6-0 loss at fifth.
The Golden Knights hit the road to Franklin Pierce on Sunday, and visit New Haven on Monday to make up a rained out match. Saint Rose returns to the Capital Region on Saturday, October 17 to host Southern New Hampshire in its final league match of the season. Senior day will be celebrated on Sunday against non-league foe Daemen at 2:00 pm at Kelton Courts at Myers Middle School.
