ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to Northeast-10 Conference foe Bentley Saturday afternoon at Kelton Courts at Myers Middle School.
The Falcons (7-3 overall, 7-2 NE-10) made their presence known in doules as sophomore Ludmila Yamus and junior Rachel Petrini downed senior
Isabella Cubillos and sophomore
Averie Bowen 8-2 at No. 1. Senior
Paige Southwick and sophomore
Alanna Bergmann fell by the same score at second, and sophomore
KeriAnn Mahoney and
Maureen Elliott dropped an 8-1 decision at No. 3.
Saint Rose (3-9, 1-6) was unable to capture any of the singles slots. Bowen fell 6-1, 6-2 at first, Cubillos mustered just two points in a 6-0, 6-2 defeat at No. 2. Southwick fell to senior Brittani Hetyei 6-3, 6-0 at third, and Mahoney claimed just one set 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.
The Golden Knights host Stonehill in league action on Sunday at 1:00 pm at Kelton Courts.
