SAINT ROSE HOSTS WEEKEND MEETINGS WITH BENTLEY, STONEHILL

Bentley (5-3, 5-2 NE-10), Stonehill (6-2, 5-1 NE-10) at Saint Rose (3-8)

Scouting Saint Rose (3-8): The Golden Knights have dropped three straight matches in the past week. Sophomore transfer Averie Bowen leads Saint Rose in singles with a 5-6 mark at No. 1, and combines with senior Isabella Cubillos for a 7-4 overall record at first doubles. Cubillos registers at 3-8 at No. 2 singles, followed by senior Paige Southwick with the same mark at third. Southwick joins with sophomore Alanna Bergmann for a 3-4 showing at second doubles. 

Scouting Bentley (5-3, 5-2 NE-10): The Falcons suffered just their third loss of the season on Thursday with a 6-3 defeat from non-conference foe Post. Leading Bentley in singles is senior Brittani Hetyei at 6-1 at No. 3, followed by fellow senior Ludmila Yamus with a 5-3 mark at first.Yamus and junior Rachel Petrini combine for a 2-5 record at first doubles, followed by freshman Hannah Fabianski and sophomore Corrie MacLean at 2-1 at No. 3. 

Scouting Stonehill (6-2, 5-1 NE-10): Sitting at third in the most recent NE-10 standings, the Skyhawks have won three consecutive matches, all over league opponents. Sophomore Victoria Barbetta holds perfect at third and fourth singles with 4-0 and 2-0 marks, respectively. Freshman Nicole Downey has also split time, registered 2-0 records at both the third and fourth positions. In doubles, Downey and senior Kirsti Toegemann combine for a 5-0 record between second and third. 

Up next: Saint Rose hosts Adelphi on Wednesday at the UAlbany Tennis Courts at 4:30 pm before its final road trip of the season this weekend. The Golden Knights head to Franklin Pierce and New Haven on Sunday and Monday, respectively, and return to the Capital Region to close out the regular season with Southern New Hampshire and non-conference rival Daemen starting on Saturday, October 17 at 1:00 pm at Kelton Courts at Myers Middle School.
