ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose had its three match unbeaten streak snapped with tonight's 2-0 setback to visiting Notheast-10 Conference rival Bentley.

The Golden Knights (4-3-1/3-2-1 NE-10) engineered the majority of opportunities, especially throughout the first half when they generated a 4-1 shot-on-goal advantage. However, the Falcons (4-5-0/3-3-0 NE-10) made the most of their chances by striking midway through each period.

Senior forward Scott Levy headed home a set piece off the foot of junior midfielder Jose Tirado with 29:25 elapsed for what held up as the game-winner. Junior back Brett Ripperger then added an insurance marker when he drove home a loose ball from the middle of the area with 71:52 gone by.

Saint Rose designed several forays in the opening 45 minutes to afford itself several chances to get on the board. Sophomore forward Romaine Williamson sailed a threat just wide left at the 12:00 mark and then forced Bentley senior keeper Jack Blatchford to make a diving stop to his right with 27:53 elapsed.

Twelve minutes later, senior back Tyler Pomakoy delivered a well-placed volley onto the head of junior midfielder Joshua Hanif that again forced Blatchford to be on his toes. Senior midfielder Nick Iuorno then penetrated deep down the left flank before letting go a strike that rolled just beyond the right post in the final minute..

Priors to today's match, six student-athletes were honored as part of Senior Day festivities. The group included goalkeeper Colan Balkwell, backs Sam Crocker and Pomakoy, and midfielders Massimo Smiroldo and Marco Pavlin in addition to Iuorno.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights will head to Rochester Tuesday for a 7:00 pm non-league meeting at Roberts Wesleyan. Meanwhile, the Falcons are off until next Saturday when they will host conference rival Le Moyne at 10:00 am.
