#10 GOLDEN KNIGHTS CHALK UP 3-1 VICTORY AT BENTLEY

WALTHAM, MA–The College of Saint Rose broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of strikes throughout the final 31 minutes to upend host Bentley  3-1 this afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference match. Three different players found the back of the net for the Golden Knights (10-2-2/8-2-0 NE-10), who possess the league's most potent offensive attack.

Saint Rose got on the board first when senior forward Jennifer Busk touched home a pass from sophomore back Totianyu Guadalupe just 15:42 into the contest.

The Falcons (3-8-2/1-8-1 NE-10) answered less than two minutes later when junior forward Ana Tantum headed home a corner kick off the foot of senior midfielder Elena Ochsenreither that evened things at 1-1.

The Golden Knights got back in the driver's seat less than five minutes into the second period when freshman midfielder Danae Kaldaridou gathered a loose ball and beat Bentley sophomore keeper Deirde Macrorie  in the upper-90, which resulted in the second game-winner of her young career. Senior midfielder Amanda Vasquez provided no doubt as to the final outcome when she buried a penalty kick in the 82nd minute to afford Saint Rose some breathing room.

Freshman keeper Madison Taylor was called upon to make one save for the Golden Knights, who surrendered only a pair of shots-on-goal throughout the contest. Macrorie kept the Falcons within reach via six stops on the afternoon.

Looking ahead, both sides are back on the pitch Tuesday. The Golden Knights haven a 5:30 pm home match versus Saint Anselm that is scheduled to be streamed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv. Meanwhile, the Falcons have a 3:00 pm match at Le Moyne in Syracuse.
