ALBANY–The College of Saint Rose had to forfeit three points that hurt its cause in today's 8-1 setback to visiting
Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm (2-7/2-7 NE-10).
Freshman
Gabriella Pizzanelli chalked up an 8-2 win against sophomore Kathryn Rindo at the second singles flight to account for the Golden Knights (0-14/0-9 NE-10) point. Also, sophomore
Paige Southwick and junior
Maggie Moran lost close 8-6 decisions at the first and third flights respectively.
Southwick and Moran also lost a tight 8-6 set at the top doubles flight.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights will host Saint Michael's tomorrow at 1:00 pm. They are then scheduled to make-up last Sunday's match at Southern New Hampshire this Wednesday, April 9. Start time is 3:00 pm in Manchester.
