SENIOR DAY PHOTO GALLERY

ALBANY–Highlighted by a career-high tying seven service aces from senior setter Ariana Wilson, The College of Saint Rose blanked Franklin Pierce 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-7) Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

Wilson's ace total contributed to 15 overall for the Golden Knights (16-7 overall, 8-4 NE-10), with five of them coming in the second game alone. The Poughkeepsie, N.Y., native also dug up 12 Franklin Pierce (14-11, 7-6) attacks on the day. Sophomore middle hitter Maryellen Devic led the offense with 13 kills, followed by junior outside hitter Kelsey Lace with eight. Setters Erica Ziskin and Tori Daniels combined for 33 assists, and senior libero Katy Daniels registered 14 digs.

Prior to the match, Saint Rose honored seniors Wilson, Daniels (Tori) and Daniels (Katy) for their hard work and dedication to the program over the past four seasons.

After dropping the first point of set one on a service ace, the Golden Knights knocked down three in a row, and maintained the lead throughout the rest of the game. A set-high 4-0 run gave Saint Rose the push it needed late in the game for a 25-17 win.

In game two, Wilson slapped four of her aces throughout a 10-0 spurt for the Golden Knights as they took a 10-1 advantage. Saint Rose chipped away at the board, and forced two timeouts from the Ravens throughout the game en route to a 25-14 victory.

Franklin Pierce was held to a mere seven points in game three. Sophomore defensive specialist Samantha Atchinson entered half way through the set and knocked down three aces in her eight serves, aiding in the 25-7 win for Saint Rose.

The Golden Knights will close out the regular season slate with a 7:30 meeting at Bentley on Friday. Following Friday's match, Saint Rose awaits its seeding the NE-10 Championship Tournament, which is set to begin Tuesday, November 11.
