Scouting Saint Rose (8-4, 1-1): The Golden Knights defeated
Northeast-10 Conference foe Southern Connecticut 3-0 Tuesday evening after registering a 1-1 mark last week. Sophomore middle hitter
Maryellen Devic leads the attack and ranks second in the league with a 3.52 kills per-set average. Senior
Tori Daniels and sophomore
Erica Ziskin hold 4.77 and 4.16 assists per-set marks, respectively, while senior
Katy Daniels leads the NE-10 with 5.48 digs per-set.
Scouting Assumption (3-7, 1-2): The Greyhounds have dropped two matches in a row, falling to Le Moyne 3-1 last week, and to Adelphi, 3-0, on Tuesday, both in NE-10 action. Freshman outside hitter Stephanie Hawley leads the Assumption attack with 2.78 kills per-set, followed by senior middle blocker Ann Donahue at 2.22. Freshman setter Kiki Romanik registers 8.76 assists per-set, and junior libero Courtney Bagwell holds a 3.43 digs per-set average.
Last Meeting (9/24/13): The Golden Knights ran away with a 3-1 win in Worchester, Mass., last season. Junior
Kelsey Lace paced the Saint Rose attack with 11 kills, followed by Alex Gagliano ('13) with 10. Daniels (Tori) dished out a double-double with 17 assists and 11 digs, while senior
Ariana Wilson registered 25 assists and a team-high four service aces. Daniels (Katy) dug up a career-high 39 attacks that night to account for nearly half of the team's digs.
