GOLDEN KNIGHTS FALL 2-0 AT SAINT MICHAEL'S

COLCHESTER, VT–Host Saint Michael's scored late in each period to hand The College of Saint Rose a 2-0 setback in Northeast-10 Conference action earlier today. In the process, the Purple Knights (8-6/4-6 NE-10) snapped a two-match skid.
 
Sophomore forward Aaron DaCosta  set up what held up as the game-winner with 37:57 gone by and added the insurance tally with four minutes left in the match to lead the Saint Michael's attack. Senior midfielder Josh Vlasich made it 1-0 Purple Knights when he gathered a DaCosta feed and slipped his shot inside the lower-right post.
 
Sophomore keeper Christian Esposito made a save in each half for the Golden Knights (1-10-2/1-7-1 NE-10), while senior Nicco Rocque made both of his stops in the second stanza for Saint Michael's.
 
Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back on the road this Wednesday, October 22 with a 7:00 pm date at American International in Springfield. Meanwhile, the Purple Knights are off until next Saturday, October 25, when they will visit Southern Connecticut State in New Haven. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.
