ALBANY–A .391 hitting percentage helped The College of Saint Rose go on to win its eight straight match earlier today against Georgian Court 3-0 at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

Maryellen Devic posted 10 kills on a .500 hitting percentage to highlight 40 kills on the day for the Golden Knights (9-1). Junior setters
Ariana Wilson and
Tori Daniels helped pace the offense with a combined 33 assists.
Junior outside hitter Anabelle Barinas led the Lions (4-8) behind 10 kills while junior setter Jaslene Lopez passed out 27 assists and came up with seven digs. Georgian Court rebounded from a -.185 hitting percentage in the first set to hit .333 and .318 in the second and third games.
Saint Rose connected for 11 kills on a .500 hitting percentage with no errors in the first frame. Senior outside hitter

Carissa Dube each swung for three kills.
Out of the 25 points scored in the second game, Saint Rose produced 16 kills led by four on the part of sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Lace. Daniels also helped with nine assists as the Golden Knights held on for the win despite never growing a lead larger than four points.
Devic shined in the third set as she connected for five of her kills in the set that resulted in a .714 hitting percentage. Wilson and Daniels each passed out five assists while Wilson added three digs and a service ace.
The Golden Knights are back in action Saturday, October 5 as they host conference rival Adelphi at 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, Georgian Court travels to West Chester for a 7:00 pm match Tuesday in West Chester, PA.
