ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose extended its winning streak to eight matches earlier this evening with a 3-0 win versus non-conference foe Post at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
The Golden Knights (8-1) posted a .429 hitting percentage with 43 kills while also applying nine service aces to the attack. Junior setter
Ariana Wilson controlled eight assists, six kills, and two service aces while freshman middle hitter
Maryellen Devic notched a team-high eight kills on and recorded an .889 hitting percentage thanks to no attack errors.
Junior setter Julia Slyaktina gathered 13 assists for the Eagles (1-8). Freshmen middle hitters Kerrin Kallman and Nicole Brown each posted four kills.
An early 10-0 advantage helped the Golden Knights pace out a first set victory as sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Lace swung for six kills on a .455 hitting percentage. In total, Saint Rose tallied 15 kills on a .520 hitting percentage with six individuals accumulating at least one kill. Wilson passed out six assists in the set.
The Golden Knights jumped on a 15-5 run after being tied at 10-10 during the middle of the second set on the back of 11 digs. They also held Post to a -.043 hitting percentage. Junior libero

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights play the second of three straight home matches this Sunday by hosting non-conference opponent Georgian Court at 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Eagles visit conference rival Chestnut Hill on Saturday at 1:00 pm Philadelphia.
