The Plot: The College of Saint Rose hosts non-conference foe Caldwell College this evening inside the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to complete back-to-back nights of competition.

Last Meeting (9/28/11): Host Caldwell used a balanced attack to take a 3-1 non-conference victory from Saint Rose. Junior libero Katy Daniels paced the Golden Knights with 23 digs while senior outside hitter Christina Strezenec added 11 digs. Sarah Kahrs spearheaded the offensive effort for the Golden Knights with 14 kills as junior setter Ariana Wilson passed for 39 assists. Caldwell had six players register at least five kills led by Susan McDonough's 13.

Scouting Saint Rose (5-1): Tonight will be the second of back-to-back matches for the Golden Knights at they defeated visiting Nyack 3-0 last night. Senior middle hitter Alex Gagliano put down a match-high 11 kills. It marked the second staight match she accumulated double-digit kills and moved her season hitting percentage up to .367. Freshman middle hitter Maryellen Devic improved her blocking averge to 1.21 per-set. Saint Rose is averaging 2.23 blocks per-set as a group. The Golden Knights are also collecting 12.23 kills per-set while allowing just 9.18 to opponents.

Scouting Caldwell (5-6): The Cougars fell 3-1 to visiting Molloy Thursday evening. Freshman outside hitter Taylor Zaeske finished with a career-high 24 kills in the effort. Zaeske was named the Central Athletic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week as well as the ECAC Player of the Week on Tuesday. She owns a team-high 3.86 kills per-set, which ranks second in the CACC. Junior outisde hitter Athena Nestoras owns a team-best 0.45 service aces per-set. She also averages 2.93 kills per-set.

Up Next: The Golden Knights travel to Worcester, MA Tuesday for the conference opener against Assumptiom. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Cougars play host to CACC rival Dominican on Wednesday starting at 7:00 pm.
