Northeast-10 Conference victory of the season by defeating The College of Saint Rose 8-1 earlier today.
The Greyhounds (2-9/1-3 NE-10) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first portion of the day by sweeping the doubles competition. For Saint Rose (0-8/0-8 NE-10), senior
Sarah Klein and sophomore Kerri Robinson put up a good battle in the second doubles flight against the Assumption combination of sophomore Meg Hall and junior Paige Gilet. However, the Greyhounds held on for an 8-4 win.
In singles action, senior
Jennifer Crego continued to be a source of points for the Golden Knights by earning a 6-1, 6-4 win in the first singles flight against Assumption junior Erica Micciche. Saint Rose was close to another point in the sixth flight singles where sophomore
Alyssa Marie Haddad was narrowly defeated 7-6, 10-8 by sophomore Allison Gorman.
Saint Rose next competes this Tuesday in Manchester, NH against conference foe host Saint Anselm. The dual match is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start. Assumption returns to action tomorrow, hosting Le Moyne for a NE-10 dual match at 3:00 pm.
