MANCHESTER, NH-The College of Saint Rose posted a 3-2 (19-25, 26-24, 25-19, 22-25, 15-7) win at
Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire tonight, the first of two road matches in two days.

Katy Daniels led the Golden Knights (17-3/9-2 NE-10) with 32 digs. Sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Lace finished with 12 kills while freshman middle hitter
Maryellen Devic accumulated 11. Senior middle hitter
Alex Gagliano and sophomore right side hitter
Carissa Dube each totaled eight blocks and seven kills.

Sophomore middle hitter Emma Houlihan led the Penmen (11-10/6-5 NE-10) with a match-high 15 kills. Senior outside hitter Ashlee Daoust ended with 11 kills. Four individuals posted at least 10 digs for Southern New Hampshire.

A 9-2 run in the first game gave Southern New Hampshire the early 1-0 lead in the match as the Penmen also scored the last two points of the set. Southern New Hampshire accumulated 12 kills on a .235 hitting percentage.

The Golden Knights evened the match at 1-1 with an extra point victory in game two. Devic followed by a block from Gagliano and Lace to close out the set. Four individuals tallied two kills each for Saint Rose while Katy Daniels found 11 digs.

Saint Rose took a 2-1 lead behind a 5-0 run in the third set that broke a 10-10 tie. The Golden Knights forced 10 Southern New Hampshire attacking errors, while Lace put away three kills.

The Penmen responded by scoring the final four points of the fourth set to level the match at 2-2. Houlihan scored four of 10 kills for Southern New Hampshire.

In the decisive fifth game, the Golden Knights went on a 10-2 run to close out the game and leave with the match victory. Devic had four kills while junior setter
Ariana Wilson added a service ace.

Looking ahead, both squads are back at it tomorrow. Saint Rose visits Franklin Pierce in Rindge, NH for a 2:00 pm start, while the Penmen host Le Moyne at 12:00 pm.
