ALBANY–The College of Saint Rose celebrated its annual "Senior Day" by upending visiting
Northeast-10 Conference rival Stonehill 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-21) in the regular-season finale this afternoon. The Golden Knights will thus host an
NE-10 Championship Quarterfinal match this Tuesday, November 19 at 7:00 pm.
Senior middle hitter
Alex Gagliano had 10 kills, with only one attack error, to go with five blocks while sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Lace and sophomore rightside hitter
Carissa Dube recorded nine kills apiece to lead the Golden Knights offense (19-4/11-3 NE-10).
Also, junior setters
Ariana Wilson and
Tori Daniels handed out 19 and 16 assists respectively. Wilson also came up with 10 digs, while sophomore libero
Katy Daniels recorded a match-high 16.
For Stonehill, sophomore outside hitter Delia Phillips had 11 kills and 10 digs. Junior middle hitter Mary Kate Catton also put away 11 kills.
The Golden Knights were at their best towards the end of each set to secure their sixth victory in the last seven matches. Saint Rose scored five of the last seven points in the first and third sets to chalk up 25-22 and 25-21 respective wins, and furthermore rattled off six of the final eight points to take the second set 25-21.

Christina Strezenec were honored during a brief ceremony in recognition of their outstanding four-year careers.
