Last Meeting (10/20/12): Saint Rose earned a 3-1 (25-22, 18-25, 25-15, 25-18) victory at Stonehill. Junior setter
Ariana Wilson filled the stat sheet with 29 assists and five service aces to go along with eight digs, four kills, and two block assists. Sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Lace tallied a match-high 13 kills as well as 10 digs while senior middle hitter
Alex Gagliano recorded a .435 hitting percentage on 12 kills. Junior setter Emily Iverson ended her afternoon on 31 assists, 12 digs, four kills, and a block assist for the Skyhawks.
Scouting Saint Rose (18-5/10-3 NE-10): The Golden Knights come off a thrilling 3-2 victory last night against visiting Bentley. Gagliano posted 16 kills and four service aces while junior setter
Tori Daniels finished with 22 assists, 11 digs, and five aces. Saint Rose is averaging 12.0 kills with a .205 hitting percentage, the second best mark in the conference. Gagliano leads the defense at the net with a 1.27 blocks average. Entering play today, the Golden Knights are currently tied for second in the league standings with Bentley and have qualified for the
NE-10 Championship for the third consecutive campaign.
Scouting Stonehill (17-12/9-4 NE-10): The Skyhawks earned a 3-1 victory at Le Moyne last night. Iverson passed out 40 assists while senior right side hitter Kirsten Arvidson swung for 18 kills. Stonehill averages the second most kills in the league behind 12.43 while Iverson is dishing out 10.36 assists. Sophomore Delia Phillips is attacking for 3.10 kills per-game. The Skyhawks are currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the conference standings with Adelphi and Merrimack.
Senior Day: Prior to the start of today's match, Saint Rose will be recognizing three student-athletes that will be playing in their final regular season home match this afternoon. A brief ceremony will be held to honor
Alex Gagliano,
Emily Felter, and
Christina Strezenec. Â
