The Plot: The College of Saint Rose and visiting New Haven face each other tonight in a clash featuring two teams that are undefeated in Northeast-10 Conference action.

Last Meeting (10/16/12): New Haven earned a 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-16) victory against Saint Rose. Senior middle hitter Alex Gagliano put forth team-highs of five kills, four total blocks, and two service aces. Saint Rose did not help its cause with 25 attacking errors, 11 receiving errors, and five service errors. Junior middle hitter Kristy Atufunwa had a match-high eight kills while junior setter Kaulana Ane dished out 25 assists to go along with six kills for the Chargers.  

Scouting Saint Rose (13-1/5-0 NE-10): The Golden Knights extended their winning streak to 12 matches with Saturday's 3-2 victory at Pace. Saint Rose is ranked first in the league in hitting percentage (.237), services aces (2.22), and points per-set (17.2). Four individuals are averaging at least 2.00 kills per-set with sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Lace leading the group at 2.77. Freshman middle hitter Maryellen Devic is inside the top-five among the league leaders in hitting percentage (.346) and blocks per-set (0.98). Gagliano is second in the conference at 1.12 blocks per-set and stands sixth in hitting percentage (.319).

Scouting New Haven (13-4/5-0 NE-10): The Chargers have won eight of their last nine matches. The only setback was a 3-0 loss to visiting #8 Nebraska Kearney on Saturday, October 12. New Haven is within the top-three in the conference in six statistical categories. The team averages 12.85 kills (first), 12.02 assists (first), 16.42 digs (second), 2.40 blocks (first), and 16.8 points per-set (second) to go along with a .203 hitting percentage (third). Furthermore, senior middle hitter Amber Cannady is second in the league in kills per-set (3.61) and is first in both hitting percentage (.379) and blocks per-set (1.46).  

Up Next: Saint Rose travels to Merrimack Saturday for a 5:00 pm contest in North Andover, MA. Meanwhile, New Haven hosts Dowling on Thursday at 7:00 pm for a non-conference match in West Haven, CT.
