The Plot: The College of Saint Rose plays host for a
Northeast-10 Conference match against Assumption today at the Kelton Courts on the campus of the Harriett Meyers Middle School.
Last Meeting (3/22/13): Assumption was able to protect home court by defeating Saint Rose 8-1. The Greyhounds jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first portion of the day by sweeping the doubles competition. In singles action, Jennifer Crego earned a 6-1, 6-4 win in the first flight against Erica Micciche. Saint Rose was close to another point in the sixth flight where junior
Alyssa Haddad was narrowly defeated 7-6, 10-8 by junior Allison Gorman.

Gabriella Pizzanelli have earned singles victories in the first and second flights respectively. Furthermore, the doubles pair of juniors
Ashley Cunningham and
Megan Stacklum are 1-0 in the third flight. Haddad and junior
Maggie Moran are responsible for the other doubles victory with a second flight win versus Sage on Tuesday, September 24. Today marks the third match in seven days for the Golden Knights.
Scouting Assumption (0-4/0-2 NE-10): During a stretch from Wednesday, September 25 until Monday, September 30, the Greyhounds played four contests. Assumption is most recently coming off a 7-2 defeat at Nichols. Junior Melanie McCauley is 1-1 in the sixth singles flight while senior Pagie Gilet and freshman Paige Palmero are 1-1 in the third doubles flight. Gilet also teamed with freshman Kendra Sloan for a 8-1 victory in the third flight at Nichols.
Up Next: The Golden Knights will conclude the fall portion of the 2013-14 schedule next Saturday, October 19 with a 2:00 pm home contest versus Franklin Pierce. Meanwhile, today is the final autumn match for the Greyhounds. Assumption is next scheduled to compete Friday, March 28, 2014 at Adelphi.
