BOX SCORE
ALBANY - Playing for the third time in as many days, The College of Saint Rose was unable to get untracked in a 9-0 loss to
Northeast-10 Conference rival Stonehill on Sunday afternoon.
In first flight doubles, the Golden Knights battled tough as the tandem of senior
Jennifer Crego and sophomore
Lauren Romine were tied 4-4 against senior Paige Frost and freshman Bailey Paradiso before the Skyhawks duo won the final four games to take the match 8–4.
During the singles competition, senior
Sarah Klein found her rhythm towards the middle of her fourth flight match against Frost. After falling behind 5-0, Klein used a series of lob shots to win the next game and force deuce in the succeeding two games before dropping the match 8-1.
Next up, Saint Rose continues its home stretch on Monday, October 8 when the Golden Knights will host Southern New Hampshire for a 12:00 pm conference dual. Meanwhile, Stonehill travels to Holy Cross on Wednesday, October 3 for a 3:30 pm match in Worcester, MA.
