The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Saint Anselm for a non-conference match inside Nolan Gymnasium this afternoon.
Last Meeting (10/28/11): Aubrey Bobo's 18 kills guided Saint Rose to a 3-2 (26-28, 25-21, 25-18, 17-25, 15-13) victory on this floor. Sophomore setters Ariana Wilson and Tori Daniels combined for 53 assists. The Golden Knights defense played well, totaling 15.0 blocks. Junior outside hiter Kyla Gustavon went for 16 kills and 17 digs in the effort for the Hawks.
Scouting Saint Rose (5-3): The Golden Knights look to bounce back this afternoon after a 3-0 setback to NYIT last night. Freshman outside hitters Carissa Dube and Kelsey Lace shared the team-high with nine kills apiece. For the season, Lace controls the team-lead in kills with 3.03 per-set. As a team, Saint Rose is averaging 1.87 service aces per-set.
Scouting Saint Anselm (4-3): The Hawks come off a 3-1 win on Thursday versus Merrimack, snapping a three-match losing streak. Saint Anselm started the season on a three-match win streak, winning the first three of four contests at the American International College Invitational. Sophomore outside hitter Shannon Douglas averages a team-high 2.71 kills per-set while classmate setter Natalie Steinwart's 8.17 assists per-set helps direct the offense.
Up Next: Saint Rose travels to Orangeburg, NY for a non-conference match at Dominican on Monday. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm. As for Saint Anselm, the Hawks return home on Tuesday for a 7:30 pm conference meeting versus Stonehill.
