 The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes New York Institute of Technology for a non-conference match inside Nolan Gymnasium this evening. 

Last Meeting (9/24/11): Junior outside hitter Shelby Cable accounted for 20 kills and a .486 hitting percentage to help lead host NYIT to a 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-17) win on Long Island. Aubrey Bobo paced Saint Rose with 17 kills and a .429 hitting percentage. As a team, the Bears came up with 12.5 total blocks.

Scouting Saint Rose (5-2): The Golden Knights began the season with two weekend tournaments, the Kutztown Classic and the Wildcat Invitational. The latter was hosted by Wilmington (DE). Sophomore libero Katy Daniels garnered All-Tournament team accolades at Wilmington after averaging 5.53 digs per-set. On the year, freshman outside hitter Kelsey Lace is averaging a team-high 3.04 kills per-set.

Scouting NYIT (4-1): The Bears started the 2012 campaign with four straight victories before falling 3-0 at New Haven on Wednesday. Cable paces the squad with 3.56 kills per-set while junior setter Marija Jovanovic runs the offense behind 7.72 assists per-set. Prior to the start of the season, NYIT was selected second in the ECC preseason poll.

Up Next: Saint Rose is back in action tomorrow, welcoming Saint Anselm for a 1:00 pm non-conference meeting. NYIT returns home this Tuesday for its conference-opener against LIU Post at 7:00 pm.
