Biography

GENERAL: A local product from nearby Colonie High School…Has played a major role on the squad throughout her career…School record holder in the indoor and outdoor long jump with distances of 16 feet, 10.0 inches and 17 feet, 4.25 inches…Also part of the school indoor record in the 4x400 relay (4:12.01)…Her father, Michael, was a member of the track and field team at Hudson Valley Community College…Would like to obtain a master’s degree following her undergraduate studies at Saint Rose…Was a member of the Adirondack squad that captured the silver medal at the Empire State Games.

AS A JUNIOR: Broke her own school mark in the long jump with a distance of 16 feet, 10.00 inches at the Lafayette-Rider Games (2/13/09)…Ran the lead leg on the 4x400 relay squad that established a school record time of 4:12.01 at the NYU Fast Track Invitational (2/27/09)…Was fifth in the 600-meter run at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/24/09) after breaking the tape in 1:54.14…Recorded a pair of second place efforts in the long jump during the outdoor slate…Her distance of 17 feet, 4.25 inches in the long jump at the NE-10 Outdoor Championship (5/2/09) established yet another school mark…Added a 12th place performance in the 200m at the NE-10 meet with a time of 27.87…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in recognition of academic excellence.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Injuries allowed her to compete in only two indoor meets…Came back healthy enough to specialize in the long jump and 200m dash during the outdoor season…Was seventh for the second consecutive year in the long jump at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/23/08) with a leap of 15 feet, 4.25 inches…Also completed the 200m in 29.19 at the league meet…Recorded a pair of top-five performances during the outdoor campaign, including a first place showing in the long jump at the Williams Invitational (4/5/08) behind a leap of 15 feet, four inches…Was fifth in the 200m at the Hamilton Invitational (4/19/08) with a season-best time of 27.65.

AS A FRESHMAN: Recorded a leap of 16 feet, 7.00 inches in the long jump at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/27/07)…Took 11th at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/19/07) with a distance of 15 feet, 4.25 inches…Was also seventh in the 400-meter dash after crossing the line in 1:03.09…Recorded a personal-best time during the outdoor season in the 200m at the Bryant Invitational (4/7/07) with a 28.20 clocking…Was fourth in the long jump (16 feet, 0.00 inches) at the RPI Invitational (3/31/07).

HIGH SCHOOL: Was an All-American sprinter for Colonie High School…Won the silver medal in the 800-meter relay at the New York State meet…Part of the section II record in that event also…Named MVP of the track and field team as a senior…Member of the 2003 soccer team that captured the Suburban Council Gold Division title…Was a three-time Suburban Council All-Star.
