Biography

GENERAL: Three-time All-American…School record holder in the 50, 100, 200, and 500-yard freestyles, in addition to the 100 and 200 butterflies, and the 100 and 200 backstrokes…Qualified for both the 2019 and 2020 NCAA Championships...Two-time Northeast-10 Conference champion in the 100 backstroke…Also won the 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle at the 2019 meet…Swam for the Greenbush Sea Lions…Likes the sense of community that The College of Saint Rose provides its students...Has two sisters, Danielle '17 and Karin '19, that are part of the Saint Rose family...Sister, Karin '19 also competes for the team…Mentioned that her mother is the individual that has had the greatest influence on her…Said that Michael Phelps is the athlete she most admires…Favorite food is pasta and her favorite musicians are Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars…Her favorite movie is “10 Things I Hate About You”…Also enjoys watching Netflix and Hulu.

AS A FIFTH YEAR (2021-22): Eclipsed the program record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.62 seconds at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships (2/19/22)…Earned Female Swimmer of the Meet at the NE10 Championships after taking first place in the 500 free, 400 individual medley, and 200 butterfly, while also swimming the opening leg of the third-place finishing 200 free relay team that set the school record of 1:39.60…Honored as the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Year after a campaign that featured recognition as the conference Swimmer of the Week on six different occasions…Also helped the Golden Knights earn two Relay of the Week Awards…Recipient of the NE10 Elite 24 Award Winner for holding the highest overall GPA of all female competitors at the NE10 Championships…Named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team…Earned the prestigious NE10 Sport Excellence Award…Recipient of The College of Saint Rose Senior Class Scholar-Athlete Award…Named the NE10 Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in addition to earning inclusion on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for the fall semester.

AS A JUNIOR: Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200-yard butterfly and 500 freestyle…Was subsequently named an All-American by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) after the NCAA Championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic…Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America® At-Large Team…Also named to CoSIDA Academic All-Distriect At-Large squad...The only student-athlete to be awarded the NE10 Swimmer of the Week three times throughout the season (10/29/19, 11/5/19, 1/28/20)…Named to the NE10 weekly honor roll on three other occasions (10/22/19, 11/12/19, 1/14/20)…Recorded the second fastest times in the NE10 in three individual events (50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, and 200 butterfly)…Earned second place finishes in the 100 back, 200 fly, and 500 free at the NE10 Championships (2/8-11/20)…Swam the lead leg of the third place 200 medley relay team that set a school record with a time of 1:48.10 at that meet (2/8/20)…Took first place in the 200 butterfly at the Gompei Invitational (12/6-8/19) with a season best time of 2:06.28…Swam a career best winning time of 10:38.17 in the 1000 free at Southern Connecticut State (1/19/20)…Chosen to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE: Set six individual program records during the 2018-2019 season (50-yard free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 100 fly, 200 fly)…Part of two record setting relay teams (200-yard medley and 400 medley)…Finished first in the 100 backstroke, 200 butterfly, and 500 freestyle at the NE10 Championships (2/7-10/19)…The latter propelled her to the NCAA Division II Championships in Indianapolis, IN where she recorded an Honorable Mention All-American 500 free performance…Twice named to the NE10 weekly honor roll (12/5/18 & 1/23/19)…Chosen to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters...NE10 Elite 24 Award Winner for having the highest overall GPA of all female competitors at the championship meet…Selected to the prestigious NE10 Academic All-Conference team for the winter season in recognition of outstanding academic and athletic success…Also chosen to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team and the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District At-Large Team.
 
AS A FRESHMAN: Lowered school records in both the 100 and 200 backstrokes with respective times of 56.60 and 2:04.77 at the NE10 Championships (2/8-11/18)…Won the former and touched fourth in the 200…Also hit the wall fourth in the 200 individual medley behind a time of 2:08.27…Took second in both the 100 and 200 backstrokes with respective times of 57.09 and 2:06.08 at the Gompei Invitational (12/2-3/17)…Twice named the NE10 Rookie of the Week (12/5/17 and 1/9/18)…Chosen to the NE10 weekly honor roll (1/16/17)…Named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Named to the 2017 USA Swimming Scholastic All-America Team...Won the 2017 Albany Academies Outstanding Athlete Award...Took fourth place in the 100 back at the 2017 NYSPHAA...Clocking gave her All-American consideration...Won five Individual Sectional Championship titles...Named MVP four times...Competed at three NYSPHAA Swimming State Championship meets...Named a 2017 NYSPHAA Scholar-Athlete...Swam varsity for six years for the Lady Bears...Won three YMCA National Championship and 10 YMCA NYS Championships...Holds four YMCA NYS records and 29 YMCA team records...Won the 2014 CBS 6 Personal Best Award.
