James McCormick is in his 10th season as an assistant coach with The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team. A student of the game, McCormick brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Golden Knights’ staff and will work closely with guard play.
Prior to his arrival at Saint Rose, McCormick had successful coaching stints with the Albany Capitals and the Capital District Raptors AAU basketball organizations. Most recently, McCormick was an assistant coach for the U-17 New York City Rocks boy's basketball team. McCormick has taken five teams to compete in the AAU National Championship Tournament held annually in Orlando, FL.
A 1990 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with an associate's degree in criminal justice, McCormick is currently one of two owners of Levonian Bros., a food manufacturing and distributing company in nearby Troy, NY.
