Biography

GENERAL: Co-Captain…Expected to once again be a part of a deep group of distance runners …Was a strong member of the cross country team for Saint Rose in recent years…Said his family has had a great deal of influence on him throughout his lifetime…Has a sister, Lauryn, that played basketball and rugby while attending Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Michael’s…Said winning the section II cross country championship at Voorheesville has been his best sports moment to date.

AS A SENIOR: Did not participate in competition in 2012, thus having one year of eligibility remaining.  Was still named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters.

AS A JUNIOR: USTFCCCA All-East Region selection…Qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships…Finished 11th in the mile behind a time of 4:23.61 at the meet…Was named the NE-10 Athlete of the Week (4/12/11)…NE-10 first-team for the outdoor season in the 3,000 meter steeplechase after winning the event in a time of 9:25.26…Also a NE-10 second-team selection as part of the 4x800m relay team that finished in a time of 8:07.23…Earned a second-team All-League selection during the indoor season after running a 4:12.26 mile…4x800m relay team finished second at the NE-10 Indoor Championships after recording a 7:50.19 time…Posted first place finishes in the mile at the Tufts Stampede as well as the Armory Collegiate Championship with times of 4:14.63 and 4:10.95 respectively…Finished first in the 3,000 meter steeplechase three times that included the NE-10 Championships, George Davis Invitational (9:14.47), and the Oneonta May Meet (9:06.61).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Part of second-team NE-10 All-Conference 4x800m relay contingent…Ran the third leg for a team that set a school record with a time of 7:47.37 at the NE-10 Outdoor Championships (5/1/10)…Finished third at that meet in the 1,500m with a time of 3:52.28…Took home two first place finishes in the outdoor season…Won the 5,000m at the RPI Early Outdoor Invitational (3/27/10) and the 1,500m at the Capital District Classic (4/24/10), also hosted by Rensselaer, with respective times of 15:07.57 and 3:53.91…Won the 1,000m at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/18/10) with a time of 2:28.75…Helped Saint Rose to a second place finish in the 4x800 at the NE-10 Championships as he ran third in a quartet that clocked in at 7:56.36.

AS A FRESHMAN: Part of the distance medley relay team that set a school outdoor record with a time of 10:29.82 at the prestigious Penn Relays…Helped set a school record in the same event indoors at the NYU Fast Track Invitational (2/27/09) held at the 168th Street Armory…The team took third with a time of 10:22.59…Furthermore helped the 4x800 indoor relay team set a school standard with a time of 8:01.86 at the Lafayette-Rider Games (2/13/09)…Contributed in the same event at the NE-10 Outdoor Championships held at UMass Lowell (5/2/09) where the Golden Knights were second overall with a time of 8:11.88…Also ran a second place time of 4:23.56 in the mile at that meet…Finished first with a time of 9:40.29 in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Capital District Classic (4/25/09) that was hosted by Rensselaer…Helped the indoor DMR team finish first at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/24/09) behind a time of 10:47.13…Placed second indoors at the Crowell Open (1/10/09) in the 1,000m with a 2:37.77 clocking…Named to the NE-10 weekly honor roll (1/26/09) following his performance at Wesleyan.

HIGH SCHOOL: Captain of the cross country, basketball and track & field teams at Voorheesville…Section II Champion (individual) in cross country…Also helped lead the Blackbirds to a pair of sectional team championships…Captured the Colonial Council title in cross country during all four years of high school.
