Emily McCabe begins her fourth year as the middle distance coach for the Saint Rose track and field program. McCabe brings Division I experience to the Golden Knights after running for both Cornell and Duke, as well as national experience by running for team USA in the 2007 Pan American Games.

At Cornell, McCabe ran both cross country and track, competing in the 1500-meter, 3000m, 5000m and the 10000m events, earning an NCAA qualifier in the 5000m. She then garnered a NCAA All-American honor while running cross country at Duke in 2006.

McCabe competed in the 2007 Pan American Games in the 10000m, lowering her personal-best to 33:26.61 in Rio de Janeiro.

Her previous coaching experience includes a graduate assistant position with Duke from 2007-08, where she coached the middle distance and distance competitors. She is also associated with the Albany Running Exchange Event Productions Racing Team and the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club.

McCabe holds a policy analysis & management degree from Cornell (2006) as well as a master’s in humanities from Duke (2007).  She is currently enrolled as a full time graduate student at Saint Rose in the school counseling program.
