Six-time Mechanicville High School state championship coach, Don Arceneaux, enters his eighth season as an assistant for The College of Saint Rose softball team in 2021.

He works with all positions on defense, and spends some time with the offense as well.

Arceneaux, the founder and former head coach of the Slik Chix Softball Organization, which began in 1998, has won more than 300 games and reached the State's final four seven times at Mechanicville High. Many of his players have played in college at the Division I, II and III levels.

He has competed in men’s fastpitch leagues and tournaments at the national and state level for over 30 years as a second baseman and pitcher.
