Mike Murray enters his fourth season as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach in 2022-23.
“Mike is a great addition to our staff. He is a tireless with an abundance of recruiting ties and brings a strong ability to recruit quality student-athletes to our program. Mike is one of the brightest up and coming coaches in the Northeast and we are happy to have him on board,” said head coach Mike Perno at the time of his appointment.
Murray most recently worked for the Hoop Group where he was the Director of the Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp. Murray previously served as an assistant coach for Matt Collier at Queens College during the 2016-17 season.
Murray managed daily operations, including planning and sales of camps, clinics, and tournaments, in addition to on-court player development, while recruiting potential national and international campers for various events at the Hoop Group. He also managed a staff of more than 30 coaches and interns.
At Queens, Murray was engaged in all aspects of running an NCAA Division II program including recruiting scholarship worthy student-athletes, coordinating player development, producing scouting reports, and managing the team’s community outreach and fundraising initiatives.
Murray graduated and played at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2016.
