Ryan Price is in his first season as an assistant to head coach Chris Francis following a superlative playing career in a Golden Knights uniform. A three-time Northeast-10 Conference All-League outfielder, he was also a three-time NE-10 Academic All-Conference pick who made 174 starts.
Price, who completed his MBA at Saint Rose this past August, wound up his career among the Colleges’ top-10 NCAA era leaders in hits (192), doubles (33), games played (175), at bats (644), runs scored (114), doubles (33) and fielding percentage (.984).
Last season, he finished second on the team with a .318 batting average and 15 stolen bases to go along with a team-high 35 runs scored after sitting out the 2010 campaign due to an injury.
He previously wound up tied for seventh in the NE-10 with a team-leading 18 stolen bases as a junior in 2009. He also finished third on the club with a .303 batting average and was second with 29 runs scored and 24 RBI.
As a sophomore, Price led the Golden Knights with a .261 batting average, 22 RBI, and 29 runs scored after being one of only eight freshmen throughout the league to garner All-Conference accolades in 2007 when he batted .308 with 24 RBI and 60 total bases.
