ABOUT GRIFFIN: Athletic player who is expected to again play a prominent role in the frontcourt this season…Has a rare combination of finesse and athleticism…Has made 55 career starts entering this season…Sat out his true freshman year in 2007-08.

AS A JUNIOR: Started all of the team’s 31 games…Averaged 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds…Finished eighth in the NE-10 with an .829 (68-for-82) free throw shooting percentage…Was in double-figures scoring on eight occasions and twice pulled down at least 10 rebounds…Tossed in 13 points and hauled in eight boards in an 85-72 victory at Le Moyne (12/7/10)…Finished with 12 points and seven rebounds during a 78-71 win versus Molloy (12/19/10) at the Adelphi Holiday Tournament…Had nine points and seven boards in a 92-82 setback at UMass Lowell (1/22/11)…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the spring semester in recognition of academic excellence.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Appeared in all of the team’s 28 games and made 24 starts…Averaged 7.5 points and 5.1 rebounds…Named to the NE-10 weekly honor roll (2/22/10) after tossing in a career-high 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting throughout an 87-71 triumph versus Southern Connecticut State (2/20/10)…He also tied his career-best with three blocks in that contest…Pulled down a career high 13 caroms during a 79-63 win at American International (2/6/10)…Was in double-figures scoring on eight occasions and in twin-figures rebounding twice…Came up with at least three steals during four different games…Led the team in rebounding on four occasions.

AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 16 games…Tossed in a career-high 10 points in an 86-74 setback at Assumption (12/3/08)…Opened the season with back-to-back then career-high five rebound efforts…The first came in a 69-64 setback to Philadelphia (11/15/08) and was followed up during a 67-57 loss at Le Moyne (11/19/08).

HIGH SCHOOL: Named Best Inside Player at 2005 Keystone State Camp…Named to Section I All-Star Team and to Section I All-Defensive Team of the Lancaster/Lebanon League…Finished among the league’s top-five scorers…Garnered All-Star accolades from PA Hoops…Was an Athletes for Better Education Gold and Silver Medalist and was a North American Youth Sports Gold Medalist…Was also a Josh Monpetit Scholarship recipient.

GENERAL: Played AAU ball for Lancaster Elite…Worked as a camp counselor back home this past summer…Listed former teammates Shanty Robinson (’08) and Steve Dagostino (’08) as the athletes he most admires…Said his family members and coaches are the people who have had the greatest influence on him…Enjoys art and music…Would like to play professional basketball and teach in a K-2 classroom following his graduation from Saint Rose…Has a cousin who played football and basketball at California University (PA).
