HIGH SCHOOL: Played basketball and football in addition to baseball at Burlington Edison…Was a second-team Northwest Conference All-Star as a senior and was named to the 2A State Basketball All-Tournament team as a senior…Set a state 2A single-game record with 27 rebounds…Named a first-team Northwest Conference tight end as a junior…Second-team All-Conference first baseman and an Honorable Mention pitcher as a junior, when he helped lead the Tigers to a District 1 Championship…National Honor Society member.
