Biography

ABOUT THOMAS:  Solid all-around guard who is again expected to see time on the wing…Good perimeter defender and a great finisher.

AS A JUNIOR: Named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honor Court in recognition of outstanding academics…Made 27 starts and appeared in all 29 games…Averaged 6.5 points and 3.3 rebounds throughout 26.3 minutes per-game…Was in double-figures scoring nine times…Tossed in a season-high 14 points in a 59-58 setback to visiting Assumption (12/5/12)…Scored 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the floor in an 88-78 setback versus Saint Anselm (1/9/13)…Followed that up with a 13 point performance during a 71-61 defeat at Stonehill (1/12/13)…Had 13 points to go with a pair of assists in a 68-67, overtime victory at Adelphi (2/13/13)……Selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters in recognition of superlative academic performance.

AS A SOHOMORE: Made 15 starts and appeared in all of the team’s 26 contests…Averaged 6.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 steal per-game…Was in double-figures scoring on seven occasions…Hauled in career-best five rebounds in four different games…Recorded career-highs of 20 points and seven assists in an 83-82 season-opening overtime setback to visiting Concordia (11/12/11)…Also tossed in 20 points, on 3-for-4 shooting from the arc, in a 67-58 victory at Le Moyne (1/31/12)…Finished with 13 points, five rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes off the bench in a 65-41 victory at American International (12/11/11)…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters.

AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 30 of the team’s 31 games and saw 17.1 minutes of playing time…Averaged 5.1 points…Scored a season-high 12 points on two occasions, the latter of which came in an 81-68 first-round NCAA Tournament victory versus UMass Lowell (3/12/11) when he went 4-for-5 from the floor in the second half…Scored 10 points and pulled down three rebounds in 23 minutes during an 83-60 setback versus Bentley…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

HIGH SCHOOL: Teammate of fellow senior Dominykas Milka at Christ The King…Helped lead the Royals to both the New York State class “AA” federation and state championships as well as the CHSAA title in 2009-10…Also part of BWI Tournament championship team…The Royals furthermore won both the BQ and the BQ Diocesan championships.

GENERAL: Played AAU for the Metro Hawks and coach Kenny Pretlow…Listed Kemba Walker as the athletes he most admires…His brother Jason played basketball at Iona College…Said that the game of basketball has had the greatest influence on him throughout his lifetime…Enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to good music, watching movies and going new places in his spare time…Favorite movie is “The Pursuit of Happyness”…Favorite musician is Drake…Aspires to continue his accounting studies and play professional basketball overseas upon finishing his undergraduate work at Saint Rose…Said that going to the NCAA Tournament as a freshman has been his sports moment to date.
