WEST HAVEN, Conn.- The College of Saint Rose baseball team wrapped its weekend series at New Haven with a 10-6 defeat to the host Chargers. New Haven scored six runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to steal the win.
James Ward stayed hot with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate, marking the third straight game that he has logged two or more hits. Today was also the fourth time in the last seven contests that Ward has posted multiple hits.Â
Louis Gendron finished 3-for-5 with four runs driven in, bringing his three-game total to nine RBI.Â
The highlight of the day for Saint Rose came in a four-run third inning that featured run-scoring singles from Ward, Gendron, and
Vince Venditti.Â
Gendron brought in another run with a ground out in the fifth before rounding out the Saint Rose scoring with an RBI single in the seventh.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights next face Mercy in a single non-conference meeting on Tuesday afternoon in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
