COMEBACK WIN IN GAME ONE LEADS TO SWEEP OVER FRANKLIN PIERCE

ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose baseball team took both contests versus Saint Michael's today at Bob Bellizzi Field.

The Golden Knights trailed 5-0 in game one before roaring back for a 9-5 victory in game one. Saint Rose posted five runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth to claim the comeback win.

Vince Venditti, Louis Gendron, and Natham Toms all drove in runs, while Mike Benedetto had two RBI in the big seventh inning.

Gendron and Kenyon Motley had run-scoring singles and James Ward plated two with a double to help the Golden Knights break things open in the eighth.

Randall Alejo helped Saint Rose secure the afternoon sweep with a complete-game effort in the seven-inning finale. Alejo struck out five to earn his fifth win of the season on the mound.

The Golden Knights scored twice in the first inning of game two, with Toms driving an RBI double and Benedetto logging a run-scoring triple to put Saint Rose ahead 2-0 early.
