ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose volleyball team was defeated in five sets tonight at Dominican. The Golden Knights had rallied to bring the match to the deciding frame after falling behind 0-2, however the host Chargers claimed the final set 15-12 to earn the victory.
Sophomore middle blocker
Teresa Moulder tallied a career-high 18 kills for the Golden Knights in the setback. Moulder also had a team-best .389 swing percentage and contributed four blocks.
Saint Rose received 27 digs from sophomore libero
Katelyn Atchinson, which marked a career best as well.
Sophomore middle blocker
Joanna Forrest had eight kills and four blocks, while senior outside hitter
Jessica Vargas and junior middle blocker
Julia Cavalcanti landed seven kills apiece. Cavalcanti also lead all players with six blocks four aces.
Senior middle blocker
Karleigh Fripp totaled five kills and contributed five of the Golden Knights 19 total blocks. Sophomore setter
Alandra Hasbrouck facilitated the attack with 27 assists.
Looking forward, Saint Rose begins Northeast-10 Conference play with a 1:00 pm matchup in Springfield, Mass. against American International.
