ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team defeated the Franklin Pierce 93-84 in a Northeast-10 clash in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium Wednesday night.
Saint Rose junior guard
Tristian Jeffries lead the Golden Knights in both scoring and rebounding with 18 points and nine rebounds. Jeffries knocked down three from long-range while shooting 60 percent (6-from-10) from the floor on the evening.Â
Sophomore guard
Latiek Briscoe and freshman guard
Christian Pierre-Louis both added 17 points for the Golden Knights. Briscoe shot 2-of-3 from downtown and Pierre-Louis knocked down 7-of-8 from the free thrown line.Â
Junior forward
Ata Turgut tallied 16 points and pulled in five rebounds. Turgut logged 10 of his points in the second half.Â
Freshman forward
Jabari Phillip Jr. was the fifth Golden Knight in double figures, as he netted 13 points alongside 8 rebounds.Â
With the victory the Golden Knights move to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.Â
Next up for Saint Rose is a trip to New Haven, Conn. on Saturday to take on Southern Connecticut State, with tip scheduled for 3:30 pm.
