GARDEN CITY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose suffered a three-set defeat this afternoon at Adelphi. The Panthers earned the Northeast-10 Conference victory behind set scores of 25-23, 25-21, and 25-16.
Senior outside hitter
Jessica Vargas recorded an 11-kill, 11-dig double-double to lead the Golden Knights. For Vargas, the performance marked the fourth straight match in which she has landed 10 or more kills.
Freshman setter
Cadynce Knudson posted a team-high 15 assists, while freshman setter
Taylor Grady added 12 helpers.
Four different Golden Knights registered two or more blocks on the day.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home to Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to host NE10 rival Southern Connecticut State at 7:00 pm. Adelphi next faces Molloy in a Wednesday non-conference matchup.
