MCGETTIGAN SCORES 22 IN SETBACK TO ADELPHI

Albany, NY- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference matchup to the Adelphi Panthers 84-68 today at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

Golden Knights junior forward Josh McGettigan led all scorers with 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-5 from behind the arc. McGettigan also had a team-high 8 rebounds on the day.

The two teams played a fast pace first half as they went into the locker room with the Panthers leading 38-31. Adelphi would extend its lead in the second half, seeing it grow to as much 21 points with just under 7 minutes to play.

Two freshmen would score double-digits for Saint Rose, as forward Max Jusianiec and guard Latiek Briscoe finished with 19 and 15, respectively. Jusianiec also added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Adelphi saw four players with double-digit scoring outputs, with guard Elijah Lewis leading the way with 20 points.

The Golden Knights will be back in action next Saturday 3:30 pm as they head to Rindge, NH to face the Franklin Pierce. The Panthers also take on Franklin Pierce in their next game, as those two teams will play Tuesday at 7:30 pm in Garden City, NY.
